The league is committed to the further development of all aspects of the game within our area. This includes:

COACH EDUCATION

The Sligo-Leitrim Youth league are committed to the development and improvement of coaching standards within the league. All coach education is oranised in conjunction with the FAI Regional Development Officer.

FAI EMERGING TALENT PROGRAMME

The Sligo-Leitrim league are one of the leagues that are participating in the FAI emerging talent programme.

TEAM OF THE MONTH

The Sligo-Leitrim and District Schoolboys and Schoolgirls league in conjunction with our main sponsor, O Neills sports, make an award each month to the team who has produced the best performance in that month. The award will consider the teams results, disciplinary performance and other factors such as any major improvement by a particular team in that month.

This is a prestiguous award that carries a prize of €100 worth of O Neills sports gear for the successful team.

REFEREE DEVELOPMENT

The Sligo-Leitrim league are fortunate to have one of the most active referee's associations with a good panel of referees. Despite this the league is continuously seeking new referees as the game expands throughout the north west.
